DEALERCALC LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us") operates https://dealercalc.app and the DealerCalc application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our Service. By using DealerCalc, you agree to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (hashed — we never store plaintext passwords).

Payment Information: Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID — we never receive or store your full credit card number.

Usage Data: We collect data about how you use the Service, including vehicle calculations, feature interactions, and session data to improve the product.

Device & Log Data: IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs may be collected automatically for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain data for 90 days before deletion to allow account recovery. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (authentication session tokens) and optionally functional cookies to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, hashed passwords, and row-level security on our database. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us immediately at hello@dealercalc.app.

9. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
